Day 138 without Clonazepam.

Ok. I'm screwed! Haha! I need to see the dentist tomorrow, and I'm already starting to sweat like crazy! I mean... I want to be calm when I'm there, but I don't want benzos... Benzo is the only option... I don't know what to do!!

@[in...] Going through acute benzodiazepine withdrawal I had to visit dentists more often than any other time in my life. I think I visited about 4 different doctors in 2 countries (- it was hard to get an appoinment and I have had extreme teeth grinding and injuries to them).

I never took anything and I was really so nervous, I can still recall. I think the dentist is a place where it is allowed to be nervous though, isn't it? :) So, I allowed myself to be nervous, and I still do... I also listened a lot to Dr. Claire Weeks audiobook (helped and distracted me the same time). No, no one here is goint to judge you whatever you decide. I always survived somehow :) and felt really good afterwards.

They are just going to look into my mouth tomorrow, so that I might survive, but the actual whatever they're going to do... I don't know. We'll see what happens I guess! @[Re...]

So how are your symptoms now and how long have you been off and when did they start to improve?

Hi!

I been off a year in november. I did a CT and it was really tough but got better after around 3 months. At 10 months i say I'm healed except insomnia. I have a day once in a while with nassua and some morning anxiety but not like it was!

I was in a bad way the whole last year trying to taper.. my doses was to high and symptoms was like in accute what ever doses i took. I wasted a full year on it and should have made it earlier..so 15 months all together in wd.

Take care..

Yeah @[PE...]I will be four months off at the end of this month I only took a .5 mg Klonopin for four months to five then I realized I needed to get off took six months of taping which most of it was not that great especially towards the end I jumped at .05 mg I didn’t want to waste any more of my time and create more dependency my symptoms have gotten worse since being off, but I feel like I’m probably at the bottom now and maybe starting to see some slight improvements in the last few days really hoping to get my symptoms reduced soon as you well know, they take a toll on you Thanks for the info. God bless fight fight fight don’t give in. Don’t give up. I hope you’re in insomnia phases as well so you can be totally healed.

So I've slept for about an hour. I couldn't fall asleep earlier because I was laying around thinking about the dentist. I'm supposed to be there in a couple of hours but I can't remember being this nervous since... well since before I ever tried benzos for the first time in my life. I know I need to go, but... My heart's racing reeeeally fast. I'm totally panicking.... Help!

Oh @[in...] this sounds like strong anticipatory anxiety, as it seems we have to practice this a couple of time until our bodies learn there is actually no danger there. I hope you are doing well :)

Anticipatory anxiety. Hey... That's my name!! I went to the dentist office this morning, just so he could take a look. I'm going back to fix the actual problem in about an hour... 🙃😅

Yes they did! I was done at around 17:00 and I still can't feel my lower lip 😅 I'm going to have to have soup or something because I can't chew without biting my lip haha! @[jo...]

This Saturday I'm going to try something new.

I'm going to try quitting nicotine. In my case: Snus. It's this kind of loose tobacco that you put under the upper lip. There's pouches too but I don't like them.

Anyway. The plan is to try being without it to see if I'll become calmer. The experiment begins Saturday morning. Let's go 🙏

It might make you more anxious before it makes you calmer. Nicotine withdrawl can be quite rough, although not compared to what we're used to I guess. The duration should be quite short for physical symptoms. Well in comparison to this shit anything is short I suppose.

That's so true!

I know it's hard. I've tried quitting before. I'll give it a try and see what happens 😊

I am really glad, I was positive you can manage this :) Yay! :)

As for the smoking , I quit red marlboro after about 10 years last may, and it did make me feel better. It was not as hard as I thought, as they really seemed to worsen my symptoms, nicotine being a strong stimulant... I am certain it will be a positive change for you as well.

This is reeeeeally inspiring! I smoked for 18 years before quitting. Best decision of my life! Thanks so much for this post ☝️😀 @[Re...]

Start of day 140 without benzos!

So I slept for about 8 hours last night! 6,5 + 1,5h. I woke up feeling really well rested.

Anyway: Yesterday I was talking about trying to quit nicotine. I was going to start tomorrow, but I figured: "Why not today?" I managed to be without it for 45 minutes after waking up 😅

New plan: I might not quit today, but at least I'm going to cut back! Because at least half of what I'm using today I actually don't need at all. I basically use it all day because I'm used to it.

If I go "all in" trying to force myself to quit I'll just end up disappointed anyway. I need to focus on the WD too, right?

I wish you all a great Friday! A BIG thanks to all of you for being there for me 💯❤️🙏
