I'm assuming you're taking Xanax?  Your taper would depend on how long you've used it, and if you've ever taken it in the past and stopped.  We typically suggest reducing your dose by about 5-10% every few weeks, or whatever your symptoms will allow, we've found a patient led, symptom based taper is best in order to remain functional.  However, if you've only used it for a short time, say less than 3 months, then we'd suggest a more rapid taper.
