Is talking to helplines all day and nice about my looping thoughts making the thoughts worse , like im

not sure it’s a bad case of ocd . Can this be? I feel terrible

Talking to helplines, in general, can be a good way connect with others when you’re in dire straits and need someone to talk to.  In most cases, they’re connected with people who are trained and have your best interests in mind.  Make sure that you don’t rely on them alone to get support from. Try to double check their advice with folks online here who know about and care about what you’re going through. And realize that when you’re going through all this, you’re in a vulnerable place. Under no circumstances, do not give out personal information, bank card numbers or address details. There are also many ‘not so nice’ people out there who would like to take advantage of those of us in a fragile state. Be safe.
