Rescue dose alternative?

Many members have taken a rescue dose and either regreted it, or luckily got away with it. So here's my question. Rather than reach for a benzo in a desperate state of fear and panic, are there any alternatives in moments of genuine crisis? This can be a long road and there are gonna be some bumps along the way. But if things get really serious...then what do we do?

I’m at 30 mon. This whole deal is brutal. Distraction and keeping your mind busy is the only way. It does get a lot better but at my worst it was horrible. Hate to tell you that is a strategy but only way is through.

There is no alternative. There are no shortcuts or crutches.

You need to create a tool box of skills to manage your symptoms from distraction, acceptance, breathing exercises, meditation, exercise and so on. 

If you really want to take meds, Propanolol, Hydroxyzine, A/D’s, but nothing treats withdrawal.
