@[be...] hi benzoisbad it's all part of the withdrawal don't worry it will go away and your memory will be back I also had that too. During my acute I almost forgot my own name ! Everyone I once knew felt like strangers ! It's like I forgot everyone and everything around me ! I could not remember anything it was really scary and it lasted 2 months for me !

Oh gosh, I swore I had brain damage and dementia for many months after my last dose! I had no autopilot on doing things anymore so every action had to be thought out. But I could barely think so it was as if I had suddenly become brain dead! Formulating words, speaking, reading, comprehending even the simplest of words, remembering how to do simple tasks, was all nearly impossible. And I'm an old lady so I assumed as well! But its all coming back to me now at nearly 7 months clean. You are young, it will come back to you eventually. But its a difficult time for sure when the brain acts helpless!
