Groggy from antihistamines

Couldn't fall asleep last night so I took 10mg of promethazine. Eventually went to sleep. Bad this morning though it's 11.40am and I'm still shattered. Can't wake up properly but darent go back to bed as I get adrenal surges and anxiety. Nightmare. Anyone else get this

Yeah it gives a heavy head the day after for me to so i don't use it..

Also it's really made for not waking up not falling asleep. It's a crappy medication over all..

If you’re taking Hydroxyzine, it actually comes in liquid form so you can take as little as 5 mg, not the recommended 50. Maybe that will help?
