Starting taper

Just started a Ativan taper.1.5 mg x 2. I mentioned to my dr about first changing me to a different benzo before the taper. She said no stay with the one I am on. Only one day and I am having muscle tension in my back.

If I understand you correctly, you have just made the first reduction to your dose, and your starting daily dose was 3mg/day.

What dose pills do you use?

It is possible that a reduction to dose can cause muscle tension or even cramping. What is your new daily dose?

I was 3 about my taper it is 1:75 split up.I am going to keep it there because of cravings.I have tried I MG in the am and by noon I am wanting more.i was at 2 mg when I started.I don’t know how the best way to split up the 1.75 to stop the cravings.I take GABAPENTIN 300 mg x 3. For neuropathy ,Buspirone 15 mg x 2 ,Mirtazapine x1 ,Tadafil 5 mg.And. Thankfully TRAZODONE 50mg to sleep..I have a appt July 24 and I am going out of town so she won’t make any changes until then.What I am wondering is there anyway to split up my dose to help with the cravings,I have .5 mg and 1 mg pills.Thank you for your time

Trying to plan ahead.Would a .1 be doable jump off for Ativan ? If not what would a good one be?

Hi @[...], I was just reading your other post and I'm not sure I understand where you are right now.  You just started your taper from 1.5 Ativan twice a day or are you taking 1.75 once a day, I'm a little confused.

My mistake I am at 1.5 . I mg in the am .5 in the afternoon.

With Ativan's short half life, I think it would be a better idea to dose 3 times a day, what do you think?
