Hello, Im 40yr old soon to turn 41 who wants to share his struggle and find support on this group, I will not describe specific consequences of my addition but I have never written in public that my addiction bezos has destroyed the basic tent of my life and led to a moment of existential reckoning I've long wanted to recognize in public even anonymously, I can say that my addiction reached very high dangerous doses that caused medical emergencies and twice led me to jail, I have lost jobs, failed in areas where I used to exel, lost friends and relationships and together with its effects of my mental health I have delve deep clear recognition of sharing my story, as a relatable story and also as a method to reach for some support. I would not be honest if I said I already started on my journey, besides resuming mental therapy other parts of of my life seem like the remants of someone I never thought I could become at the zenith of my most marvelous drug free years. While I do not use benzos recreationally my usuage and dependencies does not make it any different than any struggle. For those out there in my position something tells me its possible to fight this demon off, for those in recovery I am with you sisters and brothers and those who conquered this battle, thank you for not giving up. I wish everyone a safe journey to recovery.
