Getting worse and worse

Hi all, i’m in this horrible 4 1/2 month wave at 7 1/2 years out. The whole thing has been really difficult but as time goes by it’s just getting worse and worse. It is very hard not to believe that something else is wrong with me, but the symptoms are all classic withdrawal symptoms. almost all psychological. I feel increasingly unglued and overwhelmed and started to have some akasthesia for the first time.  I guess I just need to know if other people have gotten worse and worse and worse and then gotten better… Because I really don’t understand what is happening to me. Thank you.

Yes...I have had the same as if I am withdrawing all over again.  I was short term and still it happened to me.  I have been injured longer than I took the med...9 years out.  I am currently in a 15 month setback.  I was well and myself for 9 months prior to this mental and physical hell hitting me again.

Neverme, What triggered your setback? Are you still on other meds? Do you drink or use weed?

Gutsy, are you a member of the Long Haulers group? You may find comfort getting responses from people that are several years into recovery.  You definitely can continue to seek support here, but a sizeable chunk of the people here are just coming off benzos and not too far into their recovery relative to yours.

Assuming you have had recent thorough medical exams, are you using any other meds, otc med, supplements, or recreational products?

Recovery from benzo wd is possible at any point but it is always good to rule out any other possibilities. Waiting for healing is meaningless if there could be another source to your ailments or one final puzzle piece holding you back. I am deeply sorry for your suffering and hope relief comes your way.

It’s been horrid - but it does at times let up a bit - if I’m in the sun or talking to a friend. We will get through this.

Never took another med.  I don't even take aspirin.  I stupidly trusted my doctor one time because I wasn't sleeping.  I don't drink alcohol or do weed.  I eat all organic and only drink water with organic lemon juice.  Trigger...maybe xrays, EKG, severe family emotional stress all at the same time.
