Hi all,

I just luckily came across this group. Last year, I successfully tapered off 40mg Valium for over 20 years of prescription usage. It was the most difficult time of my life, and the tapering took 1.5 years. 

 

Due to a death in my family,  I went back to my G P & he prescribed me 15 mg again. 

 

I'm in tolerance withdrawal as it as, and need to clear my system of this medication. 

I have spent most of my life on this junk! It's having no positive affect.  What sort of a timeliness would you recommend for coming down again.  My doctor recommends 1 mg per month.  

 

I think slower, as I have a busy life and kids.

Welcome to Benzobuddies.  We're glad you found us, too! 

Congrats on getting off Valium the first time.  If you did it once, I have every confidence that you will do it again just fine.  

Tapering is not my forte, but I'll get your account going so that others can weigh in with advice and support.
