Question on cutting Clonazepam pills

Does it matter how the pill is cut to get the best benefit from the medication. I’m a little concerned because some of my daily doses seem thicker than other ones because of the way the pill cuts in half. It’s not always exact and one side weighs more than the other. I usually take the side that weighs close to my dose and use a file to shave the medication to the correct dose. Sometimes the pill cuts evenly and I do the same with one side. However when both sides are cut even the pill is thicker probably because there is more pill from the middle. I’m just wondering if taking the side closer to dose affects the amount of medicine verses filler. This is probably confusing but can someone please advise me?
