Suggested taper rate for as needed to daily Loraz use for 3+ months?

Hoping someone can advise here.  How quickly can I try to taper off of .70mg of Ativan if I was taking .25-.5mg as needed for 3 months and then 1.5mg daily for 1 month, 1mg daily for 2 weeks and .75mg daily for 4 weeks?  I know suggested tapering is 5-10% of current dose every 2-3 weeks, but it seems that is a schedule recommended to someone who has been on the drug for years.  I’m terrified to be tapering off / having this drug in my body for many more months to even years more than I intended to be taking it in the first place.  Has anyone with a similar timeline to me of benzo use done this faster?
