Looking for feedback on taper rate

I am two years and one month into a valium microtaper from over 40 mgs which included three .5 mgs of clonapin. I have been in withdrawal since day 1. I am very very kindled. Have been on and off benzos for almost thirty years including a cold turkey in 2016 with PAWS that lasted for two years before I gave up.

I was at 12.2 mgs using a 1.37 mg a month microtaper dry cut gram scale and in March started staying in bed all day just wanting to sleep and I updosed several times with valium and clonapin. My taper coach who works with benzo patients persuaded me go to 14 mgs and hold until I "stabilized" and then start a 2.5 percent microtaper.

I am 69 and that seems very slow. It's not as if I feel better at any dose.

Has anyone done a 2.5 percent dry microtaper?
