Exhausted from pretending....

One of the worst symptoms that I think for me during taper and now after is emotional numbness.  When I am talking to people I have to think about what we are talking about and if it is happy or sad and make myself react appropriately. It is exhausting.  I completed my taper 3 months ago.  I know it is still very early but I just needed to vent.  I can't wait to feel something again.  Sigh..........

Did you ever see the movie Twilight? When Bella became a vampire they told her to move her body the way humans do…

I feel like a new vampire too-remembering to smile, to slow down and pay attention, all of it.

Soon however you won’t need to think about it as life will gradually, or hopefully rapidly, return and we’ll laugh as naturally as the 1,000 year old vampire!!
