tapering of zoplicone

curretnly tapering of Zoplicone, 

started 7.5 and reduced by half for two weeks

now have cut the half to quarters for one week

should  now do I do alternative days for 2 weeks, then stop?

It is better to take the same dose every day than to do alternative days. Every day means a more stable level of the drug in your brain. 

Are you able to weigh the tablets? Then I recommend 1/8 every day rather than 1/4 every second day. Some people need a slower taper at the lowest doses, but I have learned that with Z-drugs it is less of an issue than with benzos.

If you should stop after the two weeks only you can tell. If the symptoms are too uncomfortable, go slower.

If you've used zopiclone every day for a long time, the alternative thing is not that helpful. I was using Zop 7.5 for about 3 months next to my daytime lorazepam a couple of years ago. And I just CT the zopiclone. I don't recall having problems with sleeping. Maybe a few days. Every day, I woke up in a dreamlike stat because of the zopiclone. It was too much. Now, the lorazepam just made me sleep as well, so that helped to get off of it. 

I remember it being 7.5mg tablets with a score, coated also. But maybe just first take half, the a quarter and then an 8th?
