10 days after taper i used more librium

I had a small binge of alcohol and xanax, 1mg a night of xanax for a week and drinking two weeks beforehand, i did a short librium taper, 25mg for two days, 10mg for two days then 5mg for two days, i had almost no withdrawal symptoms but on day 10 had serious ear ringing and anxiety so i took half of my 5mg dose, its been three days since and i had really bad anxiety today and some derealization. am i going to be okay? is there any risk of serious withdrawal and am i back in withdrawal after using the 2.5mg of librium after 10 days off.

Welcome to BenzoBuddies! Hopefully these symptoms you’re experiencing are short lived. Have you ever used benzodiazepines before this alcohol and Xanax incident? I think the ear ringing and anxiety might have been withdrawal from the Librium. It has a very long half life. 
 

Any way when we stop and start benzos it creates an effect called kindling. People can take benzos on and off without symptoms until one day they can’t. 
 

Your symptoms should settle down with time. I know it can be unnerving. Try and distract and it will probably be best not to take any more benzos. We generally also advise people to stay away from alcohol while they’re recovering.
