GABA

I've read a lot about GABA receptors and I'm still confused.  While tapering,  wouldn't stimulating receptors help as benzos are down regulating?

What I have come to realize (or believe to be true during this process) is that the brain is so complex and GABA is one major neurotransmitter that essentially regulates all the others to some degree.

The fact of the matter is that there are so many neuro adaptations taking place once on this drug for a while, it’s kind of more complex than just stimulating GABA receptors.

I believe that stimulating them will not really help in the grand scheme of things. While tapering, it is my belief that the best route is to avoid tampering with them, so that the body has a chance to get back to things naturally without the use of anything else. A patient led taper with minimal other disruptions to your nervous system should be the way to go, as long as you can handle that.
