Anyone have experience quitting klonopin after short term use?

I was prescribed Klonopin for sleep. After about three weeks I discovered it was making me depressed. I had been taking one mg per night. My doctor said since I was on the low dose that I could quit cold turkey and would be fine. five days after I quit, I started experiencing very severe withdrawal symptoms, I know this type of thing varies from person to person but has Any one here withdrawn cold turkey from short term use? And if so, what was your experience?

I'm very sorry you are struggling with these symptoms. We know some people can develop dependency fairly quickly. Are you functional i.e. can you manage your daily tasks? If your symptoms are too tough you can reinstate and taper, but generally after three weeks of use it might be better in the longterm to try and see if you can manage without reinstating. However this depends entirely on the severity of your symptoms. Hopefully you'll see some improvement soon.
