Is it Benzo fatigue or…

CFS? Anyone?

What have you done to combat it?

Any clue how long it lasts, as in, is there a consensus, theme, trend, commonality?

My exhaustion is ridiculous. 🥱

Hello @[Ma...] yes I think CFS can go hand in hand with benzo use and wd.

I went to a cranial osteopath some years ago who felt it … said your adrenals are having to work hard & you have PTSD. Actually, that was interesting and useful. I take something called Nutri adrenomax but it’s been discontinued. I have a private doctor as GP doesn’t really understand it but did run cortisol tests.

BIC have a page re benzos mimicking chronic illness

I’ve thought I had adrenal fatigue for 8 months yet my PCP wouldn’t run the tests. Now have an appointment with a DO. I’m so glad to hear you found them helpful.

Have you regained any energy or stamina?

Did you find a replacement therapy?

Thank you!

Sorry you feel similar. It’s good to run tests. The cortisol one was sent from UK to a USA lab.
I’m quite kaput (combo of benzo, fatigue, PTSD & CFS all interrelate I think) so rest, rest & more rest.
I have some adrenomax left so will get advice from private doctor what to do next. I have a feeling the CFS is very much associated with benzo.
That BIC link is revealing makes me wonder about all of this!

Please let me know what your dr advises.

Yes, I have read the BIC info and I get confused if this is a sxs or a new diagnosis 🤦‍♀️.

IF, IF I could drink coffee, problem solved, but nope. Ei ei ei…

@[Ma...] - If you had covid recently, it could also be post-viral fatigue. I think a lot of people who are feeling fatigued these days might have that going on. It can take a while to resolve. If you think it's long covid, the best tests to run for that per the model in this paper linked below are:

TCC, Ba, C1q, C4, C5, C1INH, FD, and properdin.

https://www.cell.com/med/fulltext/S2666-6340(24)00041-2

The C tests above are Complement tests for immune dysfunction.

I have long COVID also and the symptoms are very similar to what I have been reading on this forum. I had symptoms all of 2022 and got back to my normal self in one year as my doctor said would be likely.
then got my daughter flu virus in December and it retriggered the long COVID symptoms.

The fatigue and mental fog are my worse symptoms for me.
as the study Kats linked above shows there are blood markers for long COVID that can be found in lab tests.
I hope you find relief.

@[...]Kats, I am interested in knowing more about the supplements you discovered in your history?
