Physical support group

My benzo brain's playing up so hope I'm posting this in the right place. Tapered down to 2mg diazepam after 33 years prescribed use. In complete agony with the burning blowtorch symptom, amongst others, in small of back and severe burning acid feeling in legs. Feeling so isolated. There must be so many folk going through this. Have any of you started more local support groups to actually meet up and support each other?. I have a Drs appointment tomorrow and was thinking of mentioning the need for a support group. He referred me to local NHS addiction team in the past but from the very start they label all members as 'misusing benzos' even when prescribed. I'm retired and my family don't understand this torment. Anyone nearby in central Scotland?

@[Ho...] Tapering to 2mg is amazing after so long. That’s remarkable. 

Burning seems to often come from low dose. Hope this will lessen. 

The term addiction is so wrong. My GP pointed me in direction of local drug/addiction place too. Ironic for meds GP kept prescribing. 

Sadly, south of Scotland. But hope you can get some support. Wishing you well.

Thank you Katrina. I hadn't realised the severe burning is connected to lower doses. It certainly has worsened the lower I go. Kindest wishes to you too.
