Advice on continued taper K

Recommended Posts

Hello. I have been on a 1-year taper from max. 4mg A daily. Tapering down from A was pretty much uneventful, although with some anxiety. The taper has been assisted from a behavioral health Dr., and this past fall I was put on longer acting K,(I'm down to .5 daily). At that time, I have experienced numb skin in the face (the muscles work, I can smile), and sinus pressure intermittent eye muscle or sinus pain above the eye, and clogged, blocked sinus w burning and tearing eye, running nose. Sometimes the skin burns. I've had parasthesia in that ear for a long time as well. I was on A for 26 years, for the most part. I've told this to my health prof., assisting me, and she said to start cutting intermittently down to .375 or lower a day, and that at my age just taper more, do it.

Because of the many years on A, I have had experienced all the terrible mental and physical symptoms from abrupt cessation as well. I am thinking because those have not occurred for the most part during this taper, I'm content(?) w these physical symptoms.....

I told the Dr. my symptoms, but should I wait for the physical symptoms to subside, or just go for it?
Thanks.
