Eliminating one dose at a time VS all via daily microtaper

I wish it was as easy as just subtracting 0.3 every month but that’s not the way to calculate taper rate (or percent reduction), @[Md...].

For the second month, your starting dose would be 5.7 and your ending dose would be 5.4.  When you enter those numbers into the top and bottom boxes in the calculator, the result is a 5.26316% reduction.

For the third month, your starting dose would be 5.4 and your ending dose would be 5.1.  That would be a 5.55556% reduction.

When reducing by fixed amounts (e.g. 0.3) per month, the taper rate increases over time.

Isn’t that essentially what you’re doing though? For example…

Month 1: 6.0 subtract .3 = 5.7 = 5% reduction

Month 2: 5.7 subtract .3 = 5.4 = 5.2% reduction

Month 3: 5.4 subtract .3 = 5.1 = 5.5% reduction

Month 4: 5.1 subtract .3 = 4.8 = 5.8% reduction

etc., etc.?

So, basically all you’re doing is subtracting .3 from the dose at the beginning of each month from your previous month’s dose, and that will give you the tapering percentage rate.

Sorry to bother you, but would you mind responding to my last post? I just want to make sure we're on the same page. Thank you.

If the above statement is the ‘page’ you are referencing, then yes we are on the same page.

I was also taking V 3x’s a day and decided to cut out my afternoon dose first.  So I slowly micro tapered that and then moved to my morning until I only had my night dose.  The dose was so low by then they I didn’t feel any interdose wds or anything like that.
