Please Help! Can hospital force a medical detox?

Recommended Posts

My sister resides in San Diego. She has been placed on a 72 hour hold in a private psychiatric hospital. They have now said they are going to medically detox her from 1.4 MG‘s Valium I have instructed her to absolutely do not agreed to this and to leave if able. Can a hospital force a 72 hour hold patient to a medical detox of Valium?

If they put her on an involuntary hold they probably assigned her a lawyer as well. Call and check.

Maybe if she threatened someone or herself.

I don't see how they could think detoxing 1.4 mgs would be of any help. She will be worse at 72 hours without the valium.

It should be a crime.
