Benzo power

Hello, sorry, I'm Spanish and I use a translator. Unfortunately, I am a drug user, I suffer from generalized anxiety, tinnitus and other
I take 0.5-1 mg a day, for 3 years.
I previously took paroxetine for 10 years.
I have been following and learning from the forum for some time, believe me, I identify with many users' problems.
I would like to comment that there are cases due to their short duration and low dose, their problems are not a product of the effects of benzodiazepines, but rather they have not solved the problems or illness that led them to their use.
I also believe that many effects are more psychological than physical, and that these can be worse.
Thanks and encouragement to all users.

Hello @[Ju...], welcome to BenzoBuddies,

What benzodiazepine do you currently use and are you interested in tapering from it? I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with tinnitus, I'm aware benzodiazepines are ototoxic so I'm wondering if you suffered with tinnitus before you started them.

Let us know if you're interested in tapering from your dose.

First of all, thank you for accepting me to the forum and for the help provided.
My tinnitus predates lorazepam. I associate it more with paroxetine. I spent 10 years taking 20 mg daily without benzos. I stopped it suddenly because it got worse and I thought that was the cause.
From then on I have had 4 years of ordeal. But not due to benzos.

So, you're taking .5 to 1 mg of Lorazepam daily and you'd like to  taper it?  We generally suggest reducing your dose by about 5-10% every few weeks but using your symptoms to guide your taper is what we've found works the best.

How many times a day do you dose and are your pills .5 mg?
