Question for those 4+ years out

I am 52 months out and my giggest thing is intense anxiety and some OCD issues.  I am self helping myself on that front with Shaan Kassam's program.  Anyway, one major thing i deal with is cognitive impairment.  Sometimes worse than others but always worse under stress.  

 

Im at the point of going to get some tests done but wonderd if any long termers have any insight on this.

Hi, HIngie!  Sorry you are still struggling with a few symptoms.   Can you describe your cognitive impairment?  I am 46 months out and I still have several symptoms, but they are less intense than they were the first few years.   I do have some cognitive impairment, but I wonder if mine is just age.....63.

Here is where i am at.

Brain fog likely due to intense anxiety and ocd intrusive thoughts.  Its horrible at times and other times, i am not too bad.  Seems like i have sooo much anxiety and my mind is working so hard that i am worn out mentally.  Still have tinnitus at stressful times which makes things worse.  Doing a lot of self help therapy uding claire weekes book and shaan kassam on youtube but at this far out, its tough and exhausting.

 

Btw, i am 55

Did you struggle with anxiety before withdrawal?     I was put on Ativan to help me sleep, but had struggled with anxiety a bit too, but nothing like I have now.

I did.  Only within the last 2 years did I really begin to understand that.  Its just been much moore pronounced for the last few years
