Help please, is anyone in Portugal or has knowledge

Hello, I'm reaching out for help to anyone who knows the Portuguese health system, especially for renewal of prescribed medication like Valium. I don't have the money (or means) to come back to France to get a new renewable prescription and the one I have been using for my stay here in Porto so far is now expired. I have searched for medical care and it seems to be basically hospital kind of places. I have about 5 days left of medication (valium) and today I'll try to get an appointment or to see someone but I'm worried (nightmares and sleep deprivation are not helping) that they won't understand the urgency, that I'll be turned away. 

I have no idea if trying the private sector would be a better idea since the reviews for those are really low. I'm concerned and any help would be deeply appreciated from anyone who can give either tips or advice, direction etc. I'm a newly expat and with that treatment I'm now a confused worried newly expat.
