Is 1mg a day of Xanax a large dose? What is the average dose we see on the site?

It's not high, but it's not low either. Generally people get prescribed 0.5mg-1mg I think.

Has anyone been prescribed Busperone for anxiety while on Xanax?

My doctor wants me to start Busperone for my anxiety and then after I reach my dose level, start a slow taper off Xanax.

Just buspirone while tapering lorazapam 3 yrs ago, did not help me but maybe it'll help u

For these questions you might need to start separate threads on different forums for others to respond. 

I know with CBT it's kind of difficult during withdrawal because you don't have control over your thoughts and anxiety. Much of it is chemically induced so trying to manage it through these methods is particularly hard. I know some people have had success but they are in the minority.
