If I didn’t have any physical symptoms, such as muscle ache, does that mean my anxiety/panic/fear is not benzo related and it’s just how I am? I can’t live like this, with fear of everything all the time.

No.  I have discontinued benzos three separate times now in the past 5 years.  The first time I got off benzos in 2019 my physical symptoms were quite minor.  But I had horrific anxiety, fear/terror, DP/DR and insomnia.  
 

If you ask yourself the question “have I ever felt anything close to this level of anxiety/fear/terror?” before meds and the answer is no, then there is an excellent chance it’s the benzos.
