Recommended Posts

I just called the pharmacy to ask if they had ativan vs lorazapam.  She replied we don't have that.  So I asked her well how much are 30 .05 ativan if you had them, she said.....

$5000.00!

I was shocked!

$,5000.00 for name brand ativan! Well it's the name brand that's why she said,  dang that's 🤪 crazy!

That doesn’t sound right, I’d call another pharmacy to see what they say.

Were you asking about .05 mg tablets or .50 mg, decimal points are important.

Hello, @[ns...] As @[je...] has suggested, I’d contact other pharmacies to check that price.  According to GoodRx, the price range for a 30-day supply of brand Ativan ranges from $1000 to $1070 in my area.

It’s also interesting to note that prices of a 30-day supply of other brand name benzodiazepines appear to be much lower than that of Ativan.  Per GoodRx, in my area:

Xanax: $197-222 (0.5mg tablets)
Klonopin: $80-90 (0.5mg tablets)
Valium: $105-201 (2mg tablets)

Is that US Dollars or Mexican Pesos?

I bought 30 pills of 0.5mg Xanax for less than 5 euros.  Subsidized by the govt because of social security of course, but with a prescription and no social security no higher than 15 euros.  Generic of course.

Libertas, thank u, but even at that price I can't, still costco price is outrageous!

But I appreciate you looking into it.

Interesting how ativan is so much higher than other benzos, I think they are the worst of the lot but somehow the most popular!

Thanks for coming good rx, should have thought of that!

Take care
