Does air hunger ever go away?

Recommended Posts

April will be 4 years benzo-free for me. I don't really deal with anxiety or anything like that but air hunger has always been a bad symptom for me.

I feel like it had improved but the air hunger has been back recently and I feel so defeated.

It usually hits at night and I wake up out of my sleep. I have to wait til it passes before going back to sleep. I'm so fed up. Will this ever go away? I'm 35 years old and healthy otherwise. No health problems at all.

Sounds like a panic attack.  I get those during the day if i try to lay down, sometimes at night. I breath in and out of my nose! In deep out slow. It stops the air hunger and or panic attacks.

Hope this helps u

I feel like I can't catch my breathe or I'm not getting a full breath or low on oxygen a lot. But not when I'm asleep.  It's caused by axiety.

The fact that your waking up from it in the middle of the night though makes me wonder if you are having sleep apnea?
