Clonazepam taper

I have been on .5 mg at night for three months.  Advice on taper schedule.  This is what I was advised. 
.25 for 4 weeks then .25 every other night for 3 weeks then .25 every third night for 3 weeks then stop.

That might work. Generally, we would suggest not leaving two day gaps between doses, but given your short-term use, and the relatively long half-life value of clonazepam, this might well work for you. It is quite common to taper off like this, especially - as I indicated - after short-term use and for longer half-life benzodiazepines.

Unless you have experienced problems tapering off before, in your situation, you have good reason to feel confident about the taper plan. But if you do experience problems, be sure to talk with your doctor and report back here too for some suggestions of how you might proceed.

It is important to remember that BenzoBuddies tends to attract 'tougher cases'. Unless you have experience to suggest that you fall into this 'tougher case' category, you probably will be fine with that taper plan.
