Withdrawal into 12th year

Hello,

 

I have been put on 2.5mg zyprexa for about a year and a half and other benzos, z drugs that the doc never tapered me off. I am going into my 12th year and still not recovered but still doing better than when I just came off of those drugs. My symptoms are still.not getting any deep sleep and all rem, waking up frequently feeling tired all day, fizzing under my tongue and other symptoms.. i still want to have hope that its not permanent damage and its taking longer cause every person is different.. Any honest thoughts on this? I read somewhere that my neurons are all destroyed but i dont want to believe..

I’m sorry to hear you’re suffering, can you tell us when you stopped taking the benzodiazepines and z-drugs so we can get a better idea of your history?

Are you currently attempting to taper from the Zyprexa and do you feel its contributing to your situation?

I don’t want to believe your neurons have been destroyed either, I’ve seen some pretty miraculous recoveries in my time here so I’m hoping you’ll be one of them.

Hi Pamster. Thanks for replying back. I stopped taking all drugs in 2010. I was put on zyprexa 2.5 for a year and a half and other cocktail of drugs - ativan, sleeping pills ,xanax, all for a short period of time for anxiety and sleeping problems-when i didnt even have insomnia to begin with. Long story but the docs made a mistake when they gave me all those drugs to begin with.

So basically i have been free from ALL chemical drugs since then and would never go back to any. When i was on zyprexa its like i was sleeping 18 hours a day- a drugged out sleep. I heard that this drug blocks all rem sleep so it makes sense when i got off it that im always in rem but .. still into my 12th year??!! Haha i dont know would just love to have my deep sleep back! Anyways thanks for the reply!!!♡

Hey @[Es...], have these symptoms stayed the same for the last 12 years or do they change, have you seen any improvement?  Do you feel the bulk of your troubles is from the Zyprexa?
