Can you get addicted to klonopin after 17 days of use at 1mg?

In all likelihood, you have not developed an addiction to or dependency on benzodiazepines after 17 days of use. However, although uncommon, it is possible to develop some level of dependency within that timeframe.

I should add that dependency develops over time - it is not really a binary thing where you are not dependent one day, and dependent the next. So even if you have developed some level of dependency, and it is you intention to quit, it would be better to cease taking it sooner rather than later.

What makes you suspect that you might have become 'addicted'? Have you already tried quitting? Or do you ask because of something you have read?

If you do decide to stop now, I would suggest that you taper off over off over just a few days, as a long taper might only result in a dependency where there is none, or in deepening a relatively shallow dependency.

You should talk with your doctor before you make any changes to your dosing regimen.
