The drug is creating your anxiety and fear, this is what it does.  It takes away our normal coping skills and replaces them with these horrible thoughts and feelings.  The more we worry, the worse we feel, but we can't seem to stop ourselves.  I can understand your concern about going on this cruise, you've spending a great deal of money, plus time to do this and you want it to turn out well, not only for you, but for your family.  To tell you the truth, I couldn't have done what you're about to do, but I did a cold turkey so our situations are different.

 

I wonder if you might slow your taper down, and when you leave for the cruise, hold there until your return.  You're right, many feel worse after jumping, not all, but most from what I've seen.  Lets see if we can work on a solution for you, okay?
