Liquid Ativan Taper

I’ve been on Ativan since the 80’s. I am now at 1 mg. I’m planning to start a liquid taper to go lower in very small doses. I’m new to this and wondering if there are guidelines and tips to be successful using a liquid.

I can’t speak specifically to lorazepam (that’s not the one I’m on) but ask if the pharmacist can give you a precision syringe. It’s much thinner than the traditional syringes used for liquid dosing, so you’re able to draw very precise (0.1 mL markings) amounts into the syringe. Also they can put a little cap onto the top of the bottle where the tip fits into the cap, you flip the bottle upside down, and it makes withdrawing the liquid very easy even when it gets down to the last of the liquid in the bottle.
