One day mistake while tapering clonazepam

hello I am very slowly tapering liquid clonazepam we already exchanged on that. I am diluting 0,5mg in 200ml of water and removing 1ml every day. It has gone ok so far. The day before yesterday I unfortunately made a mistake diluted the drops but forgot to remove the 13 ml (so basically I was back at my initial dose of0,5mg). Then yesterday evening I continued the taper as if I had not done the mistake (removing 14ml). Have I jeopardized the taper ? I have not slept very well but I don’t feel additional symptoms. I know what I did was stupid but it was pure lack of attention in the evening…many thanks for your input..

Hello @[ob...],

You are not the first person to make an error while tapering and either take too much or too little medication. Try not to worry about it, it should not affect the rest of your taper. I would just proceed as normal with further reductions.

Hi @[ob...], you did exactly the right thing, you continued your taper, because @[pi...] is correct, a one time dose mistake isn’t typically a problem.  And please, don’t beat yourself up, this is an incredibly time consuming and difficult process when we’re the least able to handle it, you’re doing great!
