i was sporadically using Klonopin "as needed" for roughly 4 years. Never took more than .5mg per day, and rarely ever took more than .25 per day. Sometimes.. I didn't take it for a month.

For most of 2023, I was taking about .25mg...  about 4 days a week.

16 days ago.. I quit cold turkey.
My general doc said that shouldn't be a prob.

It has amplified my depression and anxiety badly. 

Belly was bad and insomnia bad for 2 weeks.... but subsiding. But no better depression / anxiety.

Wondering if I will ever feel better.. or if this is it.

I now know I should have tapered. But I was uninformed. No turning back now I guess

I'm happy to hear your physical symptoms have eased up a bit but don't be surprised if they come back now and then or if others take their place, this is normal.  Your mental symptoms will wax and wane as well, but even quitting cold turkey, you have a good chance of full recovery, its just a little rougher start.

Find ways to distract yourself from your symptoms, difficult I know but it can help and avoid stress if you can, I consider stress to be the number one culprit for increased symptom severity.

Hi, Mark!  I'm sorry you are experiencing depression and anxiety.  They are pretty common symptoms around here.  Before benzos, I'd never had real depression.  I feel there is a lot of hope for you that when you're done with benzos and withdrawal, your depression and anxiety will heal too.   It seems like you took such small amounts, but Klonopin is very strong.  I wish you the very best.  Welcome to BB!😊
