Long term, infrequent use

Hello, requesting some info...

I have taken 1mg Ativan 1-2x/week for 10 years. 

Should I expect any negative physical/mental impact if I stop this cold turkey?

Do not CT the Ativan, Paul!

If I were you, I would try a small cut to your usual PRN dose and see how you tolerate it. That will give you an idea of what you can handle.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, hereforhelp. I have not been able to find much info out there on terminating long term/low dose type of use.

Every situation and body is different. I would try a small cut in dosage and see how I respond. For e.g. I would try to drop from 1mg to 0.75mg and see how I feel. If I was stable and no issues, then I would keep this for a couple of weeks, and then cut again. If there were issues, I would cut slowly and work my way down. 

The mind and body can quickly provide feedback.
