anxiety Severe Street Diazepam Recovery

Hello,

 

I've been taking Diazepam called Bensedin, made by Galenika. 

 

As you can tell - it's "Street Valium".

 

10 mg per white tablet. 

 

Curious about the actual diazepam amount.

 

6 months ago, I wasn't taking ANY Street Valium.

 

Today, 24th July:

 

I am addicted to 200mg / day. 

 

Sometimes way more! 

 

My tolerance is sky high.

 

This diazepam has crept upon me, 

 

Wrapped its Octopus-like arms around me, 

 

... and whispers,

 

"You're safe. Everything is fine."

 

Except that Everything ISN'T fine!

 

I'm a shadow of myself. 😔

 

I take Bensedin Diazepam like a child would take sweets / candy. 

 

I feel numb.

 

Tired.

 

Like a nail in a tire, deflated.

 

Losing sleep (wake up with panic attacks)

 

Losing the WILL to "carry on." 

 

Losing work (very important to interact with people in my job)

 

Let's pause a second, and go back to January / February 2023:

 

I was a very active 37-year-old male:

 

- Swimming every day, 

 

- Going to the gym,

 

- Connecting with friends and family,

 

- Laughter (lots!) 

 

- Getting things done,

 

- Keeping busy, with a purpose.

 

- I would get out of bed and say to myself:

 

"I can do this,"

 

"I can push through this,"

 

"Nothing can stop me,"

 

"The Devil can't drop me." (Clayton Jennings)

 

So: 

 

HOW can I move forwards? 

 

HOW and where do I seek support?

 

Here's 2 thoughts:

 

WHAT can I do to recover? 

 

Self-Detox? 

 

Medical supervision?

 

Drug Counsellor? I've heard that really helps...

This is not medical advice, but if I was in your shoes, I would try to cut as much as I could from the high dose by increments.  Maybe like 200mg to 195mg then 190mg….etc.  And giving it a week or two between each cut.  Or, if you feel more comfortable, you may be able to try bigger cuts, and then holding.

I know the pain of addiction, unlike most of our members so I feel yours.  I need to ask if you’ve ever been addicted to another substance?  I don’t believe your answer at the moment is as straightforward as beginning a taper, I feel you may need to look deeper.  If you’re willing to discuss it here, I am too.

I started off with the Galenika, Bensedin V. 

I was taking up too 100mg a day at one point last year. 

I'm no medical expert but I'm pretty sure the "street valium" is weaker. No way of telling really. 

I'm currently with turning point, I'm in the UK btw. They're doing a good job with the program, we have weekly team meetings online and it's very opening and positive. 

I started on 25mg daily medical Valium and currently down to 13mg and starting to get the withdrawals. 

I hope you manage to find help but please don't go cold turkey. Worst thing to do. Seek professional help.

I was on huge doses of bensedin to. It's a Easten Europe diazepam brand and sells on darkweb etc

I was subscribed standard diazepam as well and didn't get any different effect from the two.

200mg is much I was on 150mg. When tolerance hits it doesn't matter what kind of dosage you take. It's just isn't enough right?
