Unfortunately 'life' continues to happen whether we are tapering, healing from tapering, etc.  I had hoped that nothing 'bad' would happen until I was off benzos and solidly healed.  But, my hubby got sick right off the bad and had to go to the ER and was hospitalized.  I was pretty wrecked/anxious but it turned out that I got thru that just fine.  I kept up the 'you are okay, right here and right now' dialogue that felt soothing and true.
