Advice needed

A year ago my doctor put me on 2mg Lorazepam (Ativan) and 15mg Flurazepam (Dalmane) for sleep and anxiety.

 

He said it wasn't habit forming and I could stop whenever.

 

I will do my own slow taper but was wondering which one I should taper first?

Usually we would advise to taper the one with the shorter half-life first which would be the Ativan. The reasoning behind it is the benzo with the longer half-life could help make tapering easier by assisting to cover interdose withdrawal.

Thank you. I will start with a slow dry cut taper from Ativan (about 6% every 3-4 weeks depending on how I feel).
