Tooth Pain

Recommended Posts

I am 20% down on a taper starting from 1.5 mg Klonopin per day, 3 months in, and today I started getting fairly bad tooth pain under the gum area of both upper and lower teeth. Has anyone else had this symptom?

I do have tooth pain. I also broke a tooth from clenching/ grinding in my sleep recently. I do notice it’s hard to chew crunchy food when I’ve been reducing my dose, there’s a generalized ache.

The nerves can become irritated during benzo withdrawal but don't assume that's all it is because my oral health went seriously south during my taper. My mouth was very dry, my jaw was clenching causing me to grind in my sleep... It was awful. Check with a dentist if you're not sure.
