I'm also a member of that group , I was in it before BB, you have to read with caution, and people there are not really in to long holds. THere are also some really good people in the group , good moderators. I don;t go there too often though.

 

If you find out anything about generic K please do post here.  I  did some research and I think the only one that people seem to universally say "NO" to is Mylan

It is a group on Facebook called Benzodiazepine Recovery. I joined not too log ago but I feel a little mixed about it, it's a very active page so you want to be careful not too overdo it, people are very supportive there and the moderators really seem to know what they are doing, it's just a little more dramatic than it is over here, if that makes sense. If you do decided to join I would recommend turning off notifications for the group because it is a very busy group. It's also Facebook so it's your real name and profile picture, if that matters to you.

Have you tried Watson? Activis? Or Sandoz? MiYu?

I don’t have time to gradually switch must start trying other asap.

How would you compare them ? Which one was closest to teva?

My doc is giving me weekly scripts so I can try different ones & not get stuck with any particular one until I find one that works but I havnt had a chance to call pharmacies to see what they have, yet.

Someone on here last night said they preferred Mylan over teva ,but I’ve always read it’s bad k pin too.

Try not to stress Scardie ... I know it's hard not to . I honestly can't tell you what would be best . Come to think of it when I was first on K I think I had Mylan , and did ok on it . I think perhaps it's the changes that can be difficult.

I haven't tried my sandoz yet , but I'm going to . Have you researched at all to see if Teva is actually stopping production ? I haven't , but I will see what I can find .

 

My plan now is , as I make a liquid batch with 4 pills at a time , is to switch out one of those pills for a sandoz , do that for two weeks , then switch out 2 , etc . As I'm I. WD all the time to varying degrees , it's gong to be hard to know what's what really . I may not be able to tell .

I am holding right now , but not stable at all , if I could I'd wait til I'm more stable , but not sure I have enough pills.

Most people I've read seem to say Teva is a good generic , but you know , I don't think we can really know , it may be the fillers ?

I'd like to find out where sandoz is produced ... I think maybe in the US .

Just dropped in and read the last page. This is probably out of context but I’ve only ever used Mylan. I always make sure I get it because that’s all I’ve ever had this last year since I was crossed over from

Ativan. I don’t know why people wouldn’t want it and maybe I don’t want to know! If it’s becaise it’s less potent I would never know the difference.

When I requested to join they asked me three questions, just to make sure I wasn't a bot or an internet troll, Like where are you on your journey, are you still on meds, why do you want to join this group or something like that. Sometimes if you are not 'friends' with someone and they send you a message it goes into his mysterious 'other' folder but I think they may have fixed that so I don't think you have to worry about that. Did they ask you the questions? If not, I'm not sure what to tell you other than maybe PM a moderator, if you don't see any moderators I can probably send you the name of one of them... maybe PM me on here so we can take this conversation off of this thread if it gets any more complicated. Other than that you might just have to wait a day or so for a moderator to accept your request.

Big weekend ahead, my bf is coming home from his 3 month job just for the weekend, I haven't seen him in a month and I have pretty much holed up at the house trying to calm my CNS, but this weekend I will have to do normal people things like go out to dinner and meet up with friends, so that we can have a nice weekend together. I'm hoping and praying that I get a window this weekend so it can be as easy as possible. I dedicated a whole therapy session today to figuring out how to make this weekend work. Crossing fingers!

So kind of you to respond. Thank you for reaching out to support me, as you face the same predicament, yourself. Hopefully your transition will be very smooth.

 

First, yes Teva k has unfortunately been discontinued for good. So all Teva  clonazapam takers must find an alternative that is workable for them.

 

Your plan sounds good & you seem so calm in the storm, thanks for sharing your calmness.

I may not be able to tell .”-I’m in the same boat, as far as it’s going to be hard knowing what’s what for me, too & im unstable & in withdrawal. I am holding on my first dry cut, that’s taken me months to come to the point of making, so no turning back now, it’s time to make my move forward.

 

I’m not sure where Sandoz is made. I got a weeks worth of Qualitest, which is now solco, thinking teva was just on backorder, so I’ll start mixing them in with the small amount of tevas I have left, taking teva for my cut dose as long as possible. Teva bought out actavis clonazapam, so that should be coming to pharmacies soon I think, not sure when. One could get on the teva website for the customer service phone number if they wanted to find out when Activist will be in stores.I’ll call a few pharmacies to see what they now have, but am pretty sure choices are very limited around here.

Trying to quickly catch up with posts as haven't read much.

 

Heath, hang in there. It is so hard to lose people. And I have been tapering two years as well but have a lot further to go than you do.

 

Barbara, hope you can find a way through, whatever that path may be.

 

I have had a really difficult week. Got sick to my stomach all night on Monday night/two hours of sleep then went to work. My stomach is still not great. No appetite. Getting weak from not eating. Afraid to eat pretty much anything. I think I have found teva brand .5 mg klonopin so at least I have pushed off the change to another generic for at least two months. Because that was stressing me out.

 

I updosed about two weeks ago. Sleep has improved, but this constant nausea is trying. I cannot be this sick now--I am getting fearful about my ability to hold it together when I am this sick all the time. I have an appt. with my GP Monday to see if she has any ideas for me, as I don't love my gastro anymore. I feel like he is dismissing me as crazy; went somewhere else but didn't like them either.

Such a hard battle with being sick, I can only imagine what it is taking to get through, working, no sleep, no energy... Be sure to give yourself every respect..!!

I gave up on Gastros, -not a clue... They sent me to the medication specialists, -they understood addiction, even "normal" dependancy to a point... But nothing even close to our sensitivities or damage... "1V wont even be having an effect..!!"

Simplistic, but a good help for me is belly breathing... Harmonee posted some links on a stress/anxiety thread...

Iam just  sick and tired of my neck pain, but I could handle it if it stayed in my neck.. but lately, I am getting muscles spasms in my left arm. Scared that it might be a sign of a heart attack !! .??

That sounds crazy but the word is... dont ignore a left arm pain!

And now it is keeping me awake at night!

And it also travels up my shoulder to my neck!  And what about the pins and needles that plague both my arms now.

Can it be all nerve pain now ? Which is worse, heart attack or nerve pain?

Yep, I know I sound crazy, but I’m really scared.

 

I really hope it is nerve pain from  withdrawal. Then at least it will be gone one day!

Damn, I am in pain, and at night when it kicks in....forget about sleeping.

If the doc says it’s nerve pain, I’m going to hold again, for a longer amount of time, until hopefully the pain goes away. It’s really a bummer. It’s really burning, just like how MiYu described it.

I sure hope anyone who has this nerve pain  :-[. can somehow find a way to get rid of it or ease it? I think I can now label it the worst  and most intrusive of my wdsx except for the trembles, and dizziness. Well maybe it is worse than that! It sure is lasting longer than the dizzies!

I’ve been  getting really low in my dose and I find that when I mix the solution, it lasts for about 17 days.

Is that too long for it’s to hold is strength?

 

Question2:

If I want to make 0nly half of my normal solution of 90 ml water:10 ml Valium

Then I would mix 45ml water to 5ml Valium. ( I keep the same ratio but I just cut everythin in half).

Is this correct?

Burning pain sux! Try solarcain. Someone on board recommended it and it helped, as did vitamin b and holding ice packs at bed time. Now that I’m freezing all the time, that just sounds like torture, but good news is the burning did stop only to be replaced by freezing all the time, going on 6 months with these hands, and dizziness now since im below 3. Fun. Anyway, worth a try. Feel better, Heath.

Just on the nerve pain in general, my thoughts are that if its worse at night when relaxing, than in the day when active, then to me that would indicate WD... But thats more going from my past history, a long time ago...

Q1, They "say" up to 14 days is fine, and i think? Longer is probably ok, but a grey area...

Ps, if you have a TENS Machine, it might be worth a try for the nerve pain, and getting off to sleep..

Sleep function is good if getting one...

Hi Miyu yes l am just over the water in Northern Ireland.We generally get wetter weather than England but at this moment we are right there with them.l shouldn't complain we haven't had summer weather in perhaps 5 years.l hope you are feeling a bit more stable.
