Those aren't anything like Mary-Janes are they?  I hated getting those on Halloween... as well as apples and pennies

Anyone remember Bit-O-Honey candy?  Talk about sticking to your teeth! I don't know if they even make it anymore.

I lost a filling to Bit-O-Honey  :-\

I remember as a kid I liked Charleston Chews too, not sure if they still make those. I think the good ol' fashion Snickers Bar would have to be my favorite, though I could be swayed with just about any kind of candy  >:D

Missy,

The Moon Pie. I haven't had one of those in a long time. I have lived in the south, and have ate them. We have them in New York too.

Another good one-

lol star, this isn't the type of food to be hungry for.  Candy never fills me. And I looked up Mary Janes and they are indeed a shoe as well as a candy  :o

Moon Pies make me think of Mountain Pies for some reason, but that is a whole other topic.

If you happen to visit the South, and can't resist trying a Moonpie, (when in Rome do as the Romans do). No respectable Southerner will eat a Moonpie unless accompanied by an R C Cola :D

I love almost any kind of candy - I bounce around. My new favorite is Lindt dark chocolate truffles. One piece a day and I'm good.

Old favs are Mounds, Almond Joy, Payday, Reeses, Snickers, 1,000,000 bar...shall I go on?

Must be one reason I love Halloween. Plus, you can get those little "fun size" bars, although I fail to see just what it is that makes them "fun" as opposed to "regular".

I get the feeling that when kids came to your door trick or treating, you would pretend to be putting candy in their baskets but in reality you were grabbing candy out!  ::)

My top 3 favorites in descending order are.....drum roll please...

3. Snickers!

2. Kit Kat!

And my absolute favorite is...

Reese's PB Cups  :yippee:

Um Crono,

These are my top, too.  Stay away from me with your halloween bucket of candy because these are what I'm going for!

Boston Baked Beans - yum!  I can't remember the last time I had some of those.

Yup - there's nothing like movie theater candy.

True, there is nothing like shelling out $5.50 for M&Ms  ::)

Did you know that the month of June is National Candy Month here in the US?  June also has Doughnut Day (3rd), Iced Tea Day (10th), Catfish Day(25th), Sun Glasses Day(27th), and of all things, Waffle Iron Day (29th).

  • 2 weeks later...

When I was a kid I was crazy about multi flavour life savers!

I have not had those in 20 or 30 years...maybe they are not even around anymore?

I rarely buy any candy so I do not know...

Peppermint bark...

Cracker Barrel has a great selection of retro candies...

Black Cows(a dentist's favorite)...

Teaberry, Black Jack, Pepsin, Sour Grape balls. Chewing gums.

Have you tried making your own peppermint bark? It's so easy to make and sooo good!

If you'd like the recipe let me know and I'll shoot it your way.

I love those Lowney's Cherry Blossoms.

And anything with peanut butter.

My favorite candy is my homemade toffee with Ghiradelli chocolate and chopped almonds.  It is to die for, I only make it once a year at Christmas. :)

Oh golly YES!!! Do you need a target, or can you just follow the drool? I'm ramping on the thought, alone!  :D :D

Got to thinking...well, what passes for thinking when both brain cells get together in a chummy fashion...the chocolate covered Sugar Daddy...wasn't that called a Black Cow?
