Blood pressure machines

How accurate do you think at home blood pressure machines are? Does anyone check theirs and think they've gotten an incorrect reading?

I use a Omron from Walgreens, from my experience it's pretty spot on from comparing it to the doctor. I check mine often as my taper would make my HR and BP jump up at times and I would check it. I was pretty anal about it, my wife said.  Just remember your BP will vary from morning and afternoon, stress, etc.

Always use your relaxed sitting at home in the afternoon BP as a base line.

Arm cuff style is pretty accurate. Take it with you when you visit the Dr. to compare, the electronc cuffs store readings as well so you can give them an idea of what your BP is like at home, which is a better gauge of whether or not you actually have BP issues.
