Are you a Seahorse Marigold?  🌊 🐴

Hey, Shook.  My answer to your question was stonefish not pufferfish?  I got the question wrong.

I though Stonefish puffed up but wasn't sure.  I looked up "do stonefish inflate?".  The answer was no.

I didn't cheat, honest.  Just tried to confirm the inflatability of the Stonefish, after I'd posted my answer.

Please don't send me a take-away pufferfish liver pizza.  :o

Q:  Name the electronic musical instrument which requires no direct physical contact?

Are you a bee, or an ant, Marigold? The only two queen-led creatures I know. Unless you count xenomorphs.

Dee, the only instrument that comes to mind is the theremin, but I've never seen one played so can't be sure. I'm mainly aware of it for its novel use in the score for The Day The Earth Stood Still.

I'm sending you an anchovy pizza. 🍕

What's the answer Marigold?  Is it a bird?  Is it a plane?  Or is it Superant?    :D

You were right Shook, it's the theremin.

Was it Acca Dacca Shook?  AC/DC.

I have a girlfriend who plays the electric guitar.  She also has a terrible autoimmune disease which effects her hands and she cannot play.  During these times she plays the theremin.

Edit:  Thanks for Star Trek theme, it was cool.  The theremin is a very undervalued instrument.  :)

I'm glad your friend can still make music despite her condition!

Not AC/DC.

Hint: the singer tragically passed away in 1997.

Afraid I've never heard of Skyhooks. Will look them up.

Last hint: they headlined a sold out concert at Wembley Stadium in 1991, with 73,791 people in attendance.

I have an easy one:

Which animal am I?

After birth I am male. Anyone of my family is.

I live in a group of males but our leader is a female!

When our queen dies, the strongest of us switches its sex and becomes our next female leader.

So tell me, - who am I?

Okey last tip, but then its very easy! Its a fish! And remember - everyone is male FIRST!

Seehorses do not change the sex, either do ants:-)

And very last tip ;)

I think everyone has seen me on TV..

Well it's gotta be INX then.

I'm lousy on dates.  :)  1006, and all that.  :D

Edit:  Insert comma.

Graeme (Shirley) Strachey (Skyhooks) died when hes helicopter was caught in a downdraft.  I couldn't remember the year.  :(

That is amazing, Marigold!

INX is close enough, Dee.  :)

They got together as The Farriss Brothers on Aug. 16, 1977, the day Elvis died. The band was renamed INXS in '79.

Yeah, but the Farriss Brothers didn't headline at Wembley.  :)

That was a dud clue.  :). It put me off my game.  :)

It's your go Shook because you got Marigold's question right.  🌻

In Japan, why is it a faux pas to leave chopsticks standing in your bowl of rice?

http://pa1.narvii.com/5872/0b3eee31f7203822e1c7a268a4084d3d4011607e_hq.gif

Passing food to someone, chopsticks to chopsticks, is also a no-no for a similar reason.

Living in the countryside next to rice paddies, I learned to clean my bowl and eat every last grain of rice, out of respect for the hard work of the farmers.

Anyway...

Standing chopsticks in your rice is taboo because it reminds Japanese people of funerals, where a bowl of rice is left for the departed with chopsticks standing in the center. It's also supposed to bring bad luck. The uninitiated Westerner is forgiven for doing it once. He may also get away with it while drunk on sake. hehe

Passing food between chopsticks is just as bad cuz it resembles the funeral custom of passing the cremated bones of the deceased between family members with chopsticks and transferring them into an urn.

Yes I do Shook.

But every time I try to think of something my entire country falls into my head.

I'm thinking...

What is the fun term used to describe Speedo men's swimming costumes?  Not board shorts, but those brief ones made out of nylon or something?  :D

I can't top laughing.  They are really creepy.    :o

I'm not an Olympic swimmer or diver, and never had the courage to wear Speedos. lol

That said, I haven't the faintest idea!
