Is it the first appearance of spiderman?

On the therapy front, I can offer some empathy. I am so sorry your dad didn't get it for you. A lot of adults made the mistake, back then, of not realizing that their kids generation was going to determine the future value of objects like this.

Yep. The highest grade in which the book is known to exist, rated 9.6/10, was sold in 2011 for $1.1 million.   :brickwall:   :brickwall:   :brickwall:

Hi all,

It's me, Gonna. I've had a brief stay in the hospital due to asthma and bronchitis. But, I'm on the mend and plan to be back at trivia soon.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their words of encouragement when I was first feeling sick. It was really nice to have people say and wish kind things for me. I'm holding on my taper until I feel a bit stronger. Doesn't seem like I've been bothered by the antibiotic, or (shudder) prednisone.

If I've learned one thing during this difficult taper, it's the importance of paying attention and taking care of myself. Especially when so few of the medical providers out there really seem to understand the "benzo problem." So I was good about trusting my gut, being clear about my concerns with cipro, etc. and advocated for myself during this process. I think things went pretty well.

I was telling one doctor in the hospital about my benzo taper, and he said something to the effect of "so you've been having minor withdrawal problems." I said,

"um, yes." I didn't even want to get into the "minor" comment. Just wanted to be sure that I had some control over the antibiotic I was given.

(Minor withdrawal, my ass...!)

Thanks again for your good wishes when I took time off for being sick. I don't know you guys, but it feels friendly here.

Didn't want GGB's message to get buried in trivia talk, so here it is again...  :)

Thanks, Shook. :)

Hey, Gonna! So happy that you are out of the hospital, that you are doing better, that you were successful in advocating for yourself, and that you have had no adverse reactions to the medications that were given to you (that's HUGE! What a relief!). Good job picking your battles with the hospital doc, we have all been through some version of that, and I know it can be hard not to speak up, even when you know it won't do any good.

We are happy to have you back and playing with us when you feel up to it! Keep feeling better and better!

No clue, what a disaster of a last name though. Gahh... I hope it’s not anyone’s last name oh boy. If it is, change it 😒

Which 1981 film, written to be entirely from the visual perspective of a child, said in the original script, "The warrior took off his helmet, revealing someone that looks exactly like Sean Connery, or an actor of equal but cheaper stature"?

(Hint: Connery saw the script and ended up asking for the part.)

Ok, David ("Gump") Bennent—who you just saw being sexy—was in what German film based on the Günter Grass novel of the same name?

One of the films I was enamored with as a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed university student...

Ah! The Tin Drum. Wasn't thinking of it until you provided the picture. Why? Because I've never seen it. (I know, i know.) Passed it by in the video store aisles many times long ago. Now there are no video stores left to borrow it from. Hmm...I'll bet the library has it.

Yep. A film that will not leave you indifferent. My gf at the time absolutely detested it. I think we broke up over it. hehe

Ha! I'll have to let you know what I think after I watch it.

What 1987 film required the building of 2 replicas of the Berlin wall, because it was illegal to film the real thing?

You guys better stop making fun of short people, I'm 4' 10 1/2" and almost as cute as Peter Dinklage!  Also, I don't like Sean Connery, as he is famous for saying "Every so often women just need to be slapped!" {He looks appropriately ridiculous in his red suspenders and matching little diaper.]  :2funny:
