I , too have been through many hurricanes, being from Houston. Harvey last year was pretty traumatizing. But it passed. I hope You are doing well.

It turned out to be a non-event except for the flooding rains on the Big Island. I am on Oahu and we got nothing more than a bit of a breeze and a little rain, although more rain might still be on its way. Must have been some strong Hawaiian magic protecting us. There was a Cat 5 hurricane heading directly for our island then it weakened, stalled out, diminished to a tropical storm and got blown away by our normal tradewinds. I did not even have a potted plant blown over!

That’s great that it didn’t hit you. I was wondering how you were doing. I’ve lived through a few hurricanes too. Several in Florida on the Gulf as well as effects of ones in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Scary stuff.
