Actually, when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's, arctic intrusions were a lot more common. Wasn't unusual to see -25 to -35, not the case anymore. This mild winter means the insect life out here in the wilderness (fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, gnats, spiders, etc.) will be brutal this spring and summer.
