Had to bump this back up.  Unbelievably cold here given the relative warmth of this winter.  Mostly sunny -11 (-24) with a wind chill of -32 (-36)  Wind chill was down past -55 last night.

Wow Zachman!  Do you live in the Arctic Circle?  :)

Mid-20s (F) here with about an inch of snow and sleet on the ground.  The gravel roads are very slick so I'm going to stay home and maybe take a nap :)

Last night the Weather Predictors were calling for freezing rain(!), but fortunately that didn't happen.

Actually, when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's, arctic intrusions were a lot more common.  Wasn't unusual to see -25 to -35, not the case anymore.

Freezing rain advisory for today with temps at 32.  Not surprisingly, the outbreak of arctic air did not last.

brilliant sunshine after days of grey gloom, fresh fallen snow, about 2cm and about minus 2 celcius, going to warm up and melt the snow again, this has been the winter that didnt happen , here in southern ontario, lake erie has NO ice on it and its the end of Jan Ladygrace

Very warm the past couple of days, 60s-70 degrees (F).

This mild winter means the insect life out here in the wilderness (fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, gnats, spiders, etc.)  will be brutal this spring and summer.

Saw this on the news, you guys are really getting hit. Hope it lets up and doesn't get any worse. We are the winter that wasn't here in Indiana. Almost like spring. Mother nature is probably lurking and will hot us hard in march.

25oF and snow on the way......

Hi Billy-Could you send some of that snow my way? :)

You can have it all if you want it. We have had a mild winter this year, actually.
