It wasn't too cold or too hot, it looked like it was going to rain... and since I love the rain that was a good thing. The humidity feels like it is rising, not too fond of that tho.. [ar...] Posted April 13, 2011 Share Posted April 13, 2011 At Rockhampton on The Tropic of Capricorn the temperature is 82.4 F. with 50% humidity and partly cloudy. It's getting hotter as we travel up towards tropical North Queensland. Rockhampton is slightly inland, we had to leave the coastal town of Agnes Water/ 1770 due to painfull sandfly (no see ums) bites, & will stay 3 days as hubby's legs are covered in bites - worse than mine, from walking our Dalmatian along a bush track to the beach at sunrise. The main road off the mountain actually flooded, and large rocks had tumbled onto the street (scary!). That's a first since I moved up here. The data from NASA still claims it's warming, but then again, they say it can cause cooling. ~(+/-) Of course the data has margin of errors in it, dating all the way back to the 1930's.
